Just because I lived in Accra for five years I think I know some of the best hideouts, luxury getaways and home away from home. My 3 best choices are selected based on the facilities,  proximity to the city center, staff professionalism and food of course!

Awesome for a luxury getaway, this oasis in the city center boosts a world class spa, stunning suites and rooms, a conference center , extra large swimming pool, wifi and several restaurants. A sucker for hotels with spas I have stayed at Movenpick a couple of times while in Accra and while visiting. And you MUST try their sunday brunch. Its to die for with a rich buffet. Perfect for honeymooners and romantic getaways. I would have loved it more if it were by the ocean.. Be sure to have at least $500 usd ready to splunge on a room per night!
